Woman/Boat is an ongoing series of works drawn from sections of images collected, repeated and reused from my previous artworks. The images have been sourced from anonymous videos, uploaded photos and film stills found through the arbitrary application of searchable terms and categories, sun, soft drinks, women, boats… 

What appear as personal attempts to capture moments and memories are reduced to transient copies. The owners and subjects generic, their narratives absorbed into the proliferation of images uploaded to the internet. 

Categorically objective, messily subjective, these images are formed through the refracted tropes of a society consumed and composed by images.
